Yoyo Effect
Have you ever known someone who went into a strict diet regime and ended up looking great only to gain all
those pounds back, and more, a few month later down the line? This common phenomenon is called the Yoyo Effect
and when it comes to weight loss by means of diet alone, you really have to ask yourself - have you ever seen
an overweight zebra? My guess is that you haven't and the reason for that is that wild animals in nature
aer active, and they use their bodies in natural motion seqiences - rather than isolating body parts with
weights.
The Yoyo effect happens mainly because of two reasons:
1. Burning fat without changing the Fat Storage Potential - When we gain fat our body create
new fat cells and grow them in size. When we lose fat, we typically reduce the size of the fat cells but the
numbers stay the same. The more fat cells you have, the eaiser it is for them to grow again - or in other
words, if your fat cell count is high, so is the potential for fat gaining. True fat loss has to approach this
problem as well. A common solution would be to use Green Tea due to it's high
EGCG content. Another thing you can do is reduce the amount of Eostrogen your body holds by means of detoxing your liver
and helping it neutralize the excess Eostrogen that we all hold, thus decreasing your Stubborn fat promoters.
2.Water Weight - Diets that relies mainly on reduction of Carbohydrates, especially when
combined with physiciall activity (as any diet should), will cause a temporary reduction is muscle Glycogen (a
Carbohydrate stroage within the muscle for energy production). Glycogen bind with water. So when you deplete
your levels, the amount of water your muscle holds will automatically reduce. As soon as you got your results
and you're back to a normal lifestyle, glycogen is being replenished at the water that attaches to it return.
True fat loss would not rely on glycogen. You have to remember that weight loss doesn't equal fat loss.
